Discover "Chile Sentido": A Cultural Immersion into the Chilean Diaspora

Updated: Nov 1

The Chilean Australian Association (CASA), together with the Consulate of Chile in Sydney and the Embassy of Chile in Australia, invites you to be part of a unique event that celebrates the richness and diversity of Chilean culture in Australia. From the 7th to the 10th of November 2024, Comber Street Studios in Paddington, Sydney, will transform into a space where art blends with emotions, creating a multisensory experience that deeply connects you with the roots and sentiments of the Chilean diaspora.

Chile Sentido is not just an exhibition; it is a journey through the senses. Through sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch, renowned Chilean artists residing in Australia will share their experiences, nostalgia, and joys of living far from their homeland. This event will allow you to explore and feel what it means to be a Chilean expatriate, offering a full immersion in art and culture.

Special Activity – Day of the Chilean Fauna Workshop on November 9th

On Saturday, November 9th, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, join us for the "Day of the Chilean Fauna: Build Your Own Paper Animal" workshop. Dive into the vibrant world of Chile’s iconic fauna as we explore the chinchilla, chucao, humpback whale, and Darwin's frog. This hands-on experience, designed by Eggpicnic and led by Polly Cevallos, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute Australia, invites participants to learn about these unique animals' habitats and behaviors while crafting their very own paper creations.

All materials will be provided, ensuring a fun and educational experience for all ages. Discover the beauty of Chile's wildlife, unleash your creativity, and connect with nature through art. Join us for a day of creativity, learning, and connection!
